Best gift for father's day

If you are lucky... you'll even find your lifetime partner in True Mix.. not talking about getting the girl or the boy.. I'm talking about Thermomix.. ψ(^v^)ψ

I guess booked them into other venue will be a better idea than to have my siblings or nephews and nieces interruptions.. not any candlelight dinner.. this one featuring Eddi the chef with her favourite ☆helper---> Thermomix

Get yours today and you too can give your dad the most meaningful gift of all.. A romantic meal or a cake the very least, made by yourself for once!

Cream of Pumpkin and Yam

Cream of Pumpkin and Yam with coconut milk was irresistible
- source

I first cooked this about a year ago when my customer requested for a sweet dessert instead of the regular pumpkin soup. She said make it like Auntie Sim at Damansara Uptown. It was our regular place and they have a Thermomix parked on the 1st floor too. Still in use, of course! Making quality sauces and save a lot of chopping job♡

Glad that I made it to match the taste even without trying the one at Auntie Sim ^_*

Ingredient:
200g pumpkin
100g yam
500g water
40g rock sugar
125g coconut milk

Method:
1) Put pumpkin, yam and water to cook 14mins/100'C/Spd 2
2) Add rock sugar and coconut milk and cook for 1min/100'C/Spd 2
3) Blend up at 1min/Spd 6-10

*optional : you can add in sago for some bites

Good to serve warm or cold

Constipation cause weight gain

I've shared this once in my Facebook..
You need to first cleanse your internal system before you can start eating clean and benefit from it.
Here's a good story about constipation by RawganicVegan.

To make it to layman term, imagine your intestines and even your liver are pipes/tubes with absorbable thin walls with thick oil sludge covered the internal of the tubes. No matter how much great liquid added will not be able to absorb through the walls. Hence any good nutrients or vitamins will not be absorbed but went absolutely to waste. Fat issue will never be solved and the wall will only get thicker over time and could cause a major problem to health.

Since the discussion on diet came up over Whatsapp today.. and it reminded me of myself having a very bad constipation problem when I was young.. since I was around 7 years up till 30s.. I was a very active Ballet, Tap, Modern and Contemporary dance student (around 8-20s) and I guessed even with constipation, my regular workout is enough to burn the calories intake I had.

Then once I got stucked in a stressful working environment as a Category Manager in the big hypermarket dealing with easily 200 people if not more on regular basis..with 50 odd suppliers (a few contacts in each companies),  23 stores with min. 3 contacts from each stores, internal team. Time is never mine. I don't get my leisure of time of whether to leave for home early or not. Always the last to leave around 10 ish pm almost everyday. Working in a freezing cold environment trying to make end meets, mostly only have time for even to pass urine only during lunch hour, then perhaps 5 or 7ish pm.. 3rd time visit is just before leaving work. Toilet was way far apart from my room. Worse is that I munched on snacks to keep me going through the night.

Home late and mostly taking dinner only around 11pm. This might be the extreme case but I know many of us is living in the same similar lifestyle.

I hate to have myself not being able to be in control of myself, my life and yet having to be in control at work where you are paid for, building others' empire!

I got into trouble of major constipation with no output at all after 3 weeks! Visited doctor after finally having a push by a friend and had the worst time of my life. Doctor suspected colon cancer. Lucky me, when I was on emergency case sent for a thorough check up, result was that I was perfectly normal. My food will go down straight to my colon within few minutes,  less than 10 if I'm not mistaken.  And only got stucked with a part of my colon curling awkwardly upwards.

Whatever I did.. from only once big bowel movement a week to a regular daily sometimes twice or thrice in day. Big and very satisfying result ever since I started eating clean. Home cooking is definitely better than eating out but eating clean is the main goal to reach. Always try your best to cook from scratch whenever possible.

Stay healthy everyone! ♡

Many will think that they should not get a Thermomix because they have already stuck with many appliances but tell me, how often you use all of them?

Because of troublesome to take them off hidden in cabinets, wash and dried before storing,  people just don't use much! Ended up buying food and forego the most important concern of home cooking... instead of healthy eating, in control of what you added into your cooking,  you are eating out more and added unnecessary additives,  preservatives,  MSG, artificial flavourings,  nasty cooking oil, TransFat, all sorts of processed foods and you might be lucky,  you'll get beef burger patties with horse meat!

Or eating beef pie with no trace of meat at all!

And the most recent news of rats meat in disguised of mutton sold in China (let's pray hard they didn't export out)
That particular company, an US fast food firm who also runs 5300 KFC in China as well as Pizza Hut. They even labelled the mutton as New Zealand mutton. Yikes!

Other than all those unnecessary risk of eating out, changing diet to increase more on vegetables serving is very important for the overall totality health for all of your families.

Don't ever think that you are only pampering yourself by getting a Thermomix,  tell your loved ones that it was because you love them too much that is why you needed your Thermomix even more♡
For me, I have 2 units at home.. one for home use and another unit purely for demonstration. Very handy especially when you are throwing out a party
\(^o^)/

Do I still have my other appliances?  Yes, some! Do I still use them?  Some.. Shall I give those unused items away? Definitely! When I used to have only 1 TM at home and I was rushing out for demo, I still use my Thermomix to cook rice instead of using my normal rice cooker, reason being, rice cooked with Thermomix is healthier!  It drains out most of the starch and it's even good for diabetic people.

I thought the top 3 health news in 2012 was about rice having antibiotics.  I had a quick search and found that it was ARSENIC!
Read on at abcnews

It's disgusting to read that many wanted big profits and did all sorts to get the cost down and to keep the so called 'food' last longer! Simply sickening.

My principal is to eat food as a whole food. If I want apple juice, I will use a whole real apple to juice. Never buy 'food' that doesn't look like it was supposed to be as a whole food.

Packaged apple juice (not sure about other juices) has arsenic and hell lots of chemicals too. Even baby food in jar from store bought has arsenic!  Many more! Do google around why cereals are bad, why fried foods are bad, especially starchy food like potatoes,  hence chips,  fries is to eat with care.
