Mee Jawa 爪哇面

Ingredients

(4 portions)

Mee Jawa Gravy 爪哇面汁:
  • 200 g Potato, Peeled and quartered
  • 200 g Orange Sweet Potato
  • 300 g Tomatoes, Cut wedges
  • 600 g Water
  • 2 pieces Fresh Red Chili
Gravy Seasoning:
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
Method for gravy: 
1. Add all gravy ingredients to cook for 20 mins/ 100C/ Spd 1.5
2. Add seasoning and blend 30 sec/ Spd 10


Additional tip

Ignore Chili if serving to kids.

Adjust sugar and salt to taste.

May use anchovies (ikan bilis) stock in place of water for non vegetarian version, or add in Thermomix Chicken stock for more taste.

Ingredients:
  1. 450 grams Yellow Noodle
  2. 100 grams bean sprout
  3. 4 hard boiled egg (cut into half)
  4. 2 fried bean curd (sliced)
  5. 2 fish cake (sliced)
  6. 6 leaves of lettuce, thinly sliced
  7. 3 calamansi lime (limau kasturi) (cut into half)
  8. 4 piece of fried prawn crackers.
  9. Groundnuts (toasted and chop at 8 secs/ Spd 5)
Blanch noodles and bean sprout and assemble all the rest (except groundnuts) on plates. Top with reserved gravy and groundnuts.
